Why you should do an in home session with your little one.

In home newborn photos can be a wonderful way to capture your changing family. By doing an in home session, it eliminates travel stress, creates memories together in an intimate setting, and removes distractions of a studio.

Why I recommend a newborn in home session:

1. Enjoy a stress-free session without the need to travel or worry about forgetting essentials
   

   Your little one is probably only a few weeks old when you want to take those first photos capturing your new family. Whether you are a first-time mom or a seasoned mom welcoming her next addition, taking a newborn anywhere is not a small task. Therefore, an in-home session allows you to capture those gorgeous photos without leaving the comfort of your home. I have personally experienced many accidents from all sorts of avenues by newborns. When at home, the moms simply have to walk into their closet and pick a new onesie. Eliminating any travel or packing that could lead to leaving an essential like their bottle, change of clothes, or extra diapers at home can reduce stress on the postpartum momma.

   My goal at any session is to capture you authentically and genuinely. In order to do that well, you need to be in an environment that allows that. A home is a cozy and intimate setting and one that easily offers the ability to capture you authentically and genuinely. This is especially if any children are present as they are often most comfortable in the space that is their home and it is easier to show a stranger, the photographer, their authentic self in the comfort of their own home.

   
   

3. Capture natural moments and genuine emotions without the distractions of a studio

   
   

   Although a studio can offer a gorgeous and clean background, it does lack a lot that an in home session offers. It lacks the flexibility of time which is often needed with unpredictable newborns. It requires travel to and does not hold the same cozy and intimate setting. You may not have the most "aesthetic" home and it may be filled with newborn items and mess. However, it is the best space to document this new season in the most authentic manner.
